IRC clients[edit]

  • Textual and Colloquy are user-friendly IRC fat clients for OS X as well as iOS apps.
  • IRCCloud is a free, cloud-based service that allows you to access IRC from any browser and from their iOS app. For $5/month it will let you to stay logged in continuously, otherwise you're logged out automatically after three hours of inactivity.
  • irssi is a command-line IRC client that can be installed with Homebrew.
  • PanicBNC is a free IRC bouncer that can be configured to work with Textual, Colloquy, or irssi.
