Adobe Lightroom Classic - optimize filesystem

Postby t3hite » Sun Nov 10, 2019 10:55 am

Lightroom Classic places all its catalog resources in a single folder. I'm wondering if there are some zfs parameters to optimize the filesystem for better performance. The Lightroom working files are:

MyCat.lrcat - SQL lite file (1GB)
MyCat Previews.lrdata - OSX package folder with 65K of 3-5Mb jpeg files
MyCat Smart Previews.lrdata - OSX package folder with 65K of 5-8Mb dng files

My plan is to keep Lightroom catalogs on a separate filesystem from the images. Some parameters I'm looking at modifying for the various filesystems are:
recordsize
logbias
primarycache

I'm running a pool of two mirrors with 2 6TB WD Red drives in each (2 x 2 x 6TB). My total data on the pool is currently about 3.5TB.
