Kernel Panic with 1.7.3 beta

Postby rothomp3 » Fri Apr 06, 2018 10:42 am

And I'm not using crypto or caches!

On my 2016 MacBook Pro, I get a kernel panic as soon as I try to import a pool with either a home-built 1.7.3 or with the beta installer. No idea if the actual kernel panic info is of any use since it doesn't look like anything is symbolicated, but here it is anyway. This is with High Sierra 10.13.4, machine has 16GB of RAM. This also occurs whenever I create a new pool from scratch.

Oh and to be clear: 1.7.2 works fine on the same machine, so it's something specific that changed in 1.7.3.

Hi,

Are you able to reproduce the panic at all? It would be good if you could boot your machine with “keepsyms=y” in accordance with our wiki so that we can read the panic a bit easier.

Cheers!

I can reproduce it 100% of the time, heh, I will find time to reboot and get a more useful panic report, hopefully later tonight.
