OpenZFS on OS X

I am testing zfs-macOS-2.3.0 RC1 on a mac mini (Apple M2). the pool has only 1 file system that is on an SSD attached to the mac mini using a USB.
The pool is just used to save VM machine related files such as the ones that are created by Lima/Docker.
The pool gets suspended with corruption errors after the mac mini goes to sleep while the VM was active, and I get messages similar to this:

I think that the most relevant fact about your problem is that the pool is connected via USB. I'm still amazed at how poorly Apple handles the relationship between USB devices and the processor when the system is put to sleep.

My personal example for this is updating the songs and playlists on an iPad Nano 7th Generation. I connect it to my MacBook Pro via USB to update it. If I leave it connected too long because I walked away while the iPod was being updated, the laptop will go to sleep after a few minutes. When that happens I usually find that the iPod has been ungracefully ejected when I wake up the system. I suspect that something similar is happening with your system.

Yea, I was suspecting that as well.
However the kernel panics happen during a fresh reboot of system and normal operations

Tried to install RC1 on my production mac on the weekend, Mac studio M1 32GB and a large Thunderbolt 4 pool (32 TB mirror) and backup which has been working reliably for months+ Had a similar experience with a kernel panic after install, and mounting several filesystems. Reverted to the 2.2 latest release, and back to reliable behaviour. Running MacOS 15.5. Thankful I didn't upgrade either pool before the panics. No corruption or I/O problems, I agree that that is likely a USB issue.
Noted ZetaWatch failed to load with the pool as well.

Have previously installed 2.3RC1 on my M1 Air, have yet to test that with any pools however.

Is anyone using 2.3RC1 successfully under load?

Hi. Thanks to all for this great project.

Installed the Github 2.3.0 release on a system freshly upgraded to Sequoia 15.5.

Had enjoyed excellent stability with 60+ days of uptime under Sequoia 15.4.3 and OpenZFS 2.2, receiving multiple zfs recv streams from my main rig, running znapzend, along with rsync backups from around the network. Busy and stable.

My two (2*12T) pools are on internal motherboard SATA, not USB.

Four days later, it kernel panicked with openzfs in the backtrace. Again, no USB enclosures were involved. Went back to 2.2. Just FYI.
