Hey all, I've had an issue for quite a while. I haven't bothered persuing it until now because it was only an occasional annoyance. Basically, every time I shutdown or reboot the computer, when it boots back up it says it rebooted because of a crash and won't restore the state of what applications were running. The has happened for at least a year and half, across 3 different computers. For 2 of those computers, the only kext's installed other than Apple's stock stuff are the openzfs ones. Until recently it wasn't that big of a deal because I only rebooted when macOS updates were installed, but lately I've been traveling more and need to shutdown to travel. I generally don't have any Zfs pools imported (I only turn on the array and import it when I want to use it), and it doesn't matter if I've done that for the current boot or not, so if anything it is just having the kext loaded.
Has anyone else seen this issue? What's a good way to figure out why macOS thinks the computer crashed?
