since I am using ZFS on Linux I thought about trying on Windows. I get it working using DeviceIDs like \\.\PHYSICALDRIVE3 ... etc. Here is the caveat: I am using USB drives and the numbering is not always the same.
So I tried various variations of full path names:
- Code: Select all
zpool create -O casesensitivity=insensitive tank "\\USBSTOR\\DISK&VEN_WD&PROD_ELEMENTS_2621&REV_1034\\57584232444231504A413048&0" "\\USBSTOR\\DISK&VEN_WD&PROD_ELEMENTS_2621&REV_1034\\575835324436334E4A344345&0"
Always without success. One gives me:
- Code: Select all
wosix_open(\\USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_WD&PROD_ELEMENTS_2621&REV_1034\57584232444231504A413048&0): error 53 / 0x35
wosix_open(\\USBSTOR\DISK&VEN_WD&PROD_ELEMENTS_2621&REV_1034\57584232444231504A413048&0): error 53 / 0x35
The other gives me:
- Code: Select all
must be a full path or shorthand device name
I could not find any reference of how this should work ... or is this even supported?
thx!
