State of Sonoma (14.0) support?

Postby stefanwascoding » Wed Sep 27, 2023 12:30 am

What is the current state of OpenZFS on macOS for the latest release 14.0 (Sonoma)?
Does it install? Does it (seem to) run stable?

I currently have got 13.6 installed, and don't just want to update and see what happens. :)
Unfortunately I don't have a separate testing machine.

Hopefully this will be a better experience than mail plugins ... goodbye GPGTools.

I can only say that I did the update last night and it's been working fine for me so far.

Edit: Running OpenZFS on OS X version 2.1.6 on an M1 Ultra Mac Studio running Sonoma 14.0.

Today, macOS started offering an upgrade to macOS 14 Sonoma on my M2 MBP. Should I do it?

Perhaps I should upgrade to the latest build of OpenZFS for kext certificate support before upgrading macOS?

Will the macOS 13 Ventura builds work once I'm on macOS 14 Sonoma? Or will there be new versions to support the release?

Thanks.

I'm running the 2.1.6 Ventura version that I installed last year. Working fine for me so far after upgrading.
