Attempts to install version 2.1.7rc2 and 2.2.99-macOS-13-arm64 on a MBP M1 Max running Ventura 13.5.1, end with "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." Attempts to install 2.1.7rc2 on earlier versions of Ventura also failed similarly.

Ah make sure you exported the pool first.

I have no pools. Maybe I did at some point long ago. This is not an attempted upgrade--O3X isn't currently installed on the system.

After upgrading to Sonoma, the 2023-08-14 build of OpenZFSonOsX-2.2.99-macOS-13-arm64 installed without issue.
