Increase ZFS filename limit?

Is it possible to increase the zfs filename limit?

I believe the current limit is 255 bytes (256 with null terminator?), so is reduced by the use of any multibyte characters, this means that multibyte names will be limited to a much smaller number of characters. This means that it isn't possible to store some filenames that work in HFS+/APFS where the file name limit appears to be 256 characters (of any character size).

Now this is only affecting a tiny of files me (four iirc) so I'll just change the names, but this isn't necessarily an ideal solution as it means that ZFS isn't as compatible with HFS+/APFS as it could be.

I've tried a few searches but I can't seem to find a clear answer on whether it's possible to change ZFS' filename size limit? I only found threads discussing what that limit is, is it a hard limit?
