Rollback freezes on macOS 11.6

Hello!

I am running OpenZFS-2.1.0 on macOS 11.6.
Sometimes when I do a 'zfs rollback' it freezes and never returns. I cannot export the filesystem or even logout.
I have to force a hard shutdown (or pull power).

Hardware: MacBook Air M1 (aarch64)

$ sw_vers
ProductName: macOS
ProductVersion: 11.6
BuildVersion: 20G165
$ zpool version
zfs-macOS-2.1.0-1
zfs-kmod-2.1.0-1

Best regards,
- Minimons

Only sometimes? Can you run "spindump" at all after it happens?

Just had the same thing affect me attempting to rollback a snapshot on a reasonably large array (though it worked for a single SSD a few moments before - two occasions.

Whole machine gradually seemed to lockup.
Couldn’t readily even kill the zfs rollback process with force quit of activity monitor or kill -9 or killing parent shell…

Eventually tried to shutdown the machine.. everything slowly ground down unhappily into a stuck state… eventually had to force power off.

MacOS Monterey 12.6.2
zpool version as above

Happy to try to extract spindump - though last time I tried it froze. Is it worth me upgrading to 2.1.6? ie any chance it was covered by something you fixed/altered? (Couldn’t see anything obviously related in changelog but it was unnerving to say the least for snapshots to cease to work properly).

Best,

Martin
