ZFS 2.0.1 beta and Finder error -43
Posted: Thu Jun 24, 2021 5:47 pmI've been having a permissions/ownership issue since moving to the 2.0 betas, which I can't quite figure out. When I go to delete certain files or directories in my pool, I'm getting a Finder error "The operation can't be completed because one or more required items can't be found. Error code -43"
I thought I set permissions and ownership/ACLs properly for the whole pool, so I'm not sure if this is a Big Sur Finder issue, a ZFS issue, or a permission/ownership issue. I've also tried com.apple.ignoreowner=on, which does not make a difference. I'm having to 'sudo rm -r' to delete things at the moment. All files in the pool are owned and rw by the Mac user account (actually, 775).
Any idea why this is happening or how to fix it? Thanks for any advice!
