I'm not suggesting anyone upgrade their pools just yet. But if you download the testpool that was posted earlier in the thread, we
should be able to confirm that; with the latest build, and after either upgrading that pool. or, activating the *objquota features,
mounting will now succeed.

Under Catalina with 1.9.4, the testpool can be mounted directly; under Big Sur I indeed have to upgrade first so that "sudo zfs mount" succeeds. Strange...

That is correct, due to the requirement of *objquotas now.
