Fancy Disk Icons no More?

Postby dabrahams » Mon Dec 30, 2019 8:17 pm

Trivial thing, but… filesystems on my older zpool show up with a lovely Z on the disk icon, but filesystems on my newly-created pool just use the regular Mac hard disk icon. Anybody else notice that?

I suppose it's what "Disable use of volume icons" means. ;)

Oddly, after a reboot the fancy icons are showing up for the filesystems at the top level of the zpool (I have a zvol there as well as the regular zfs filesystem), but not for any zfs filesystems below the top level.

Some users reported the icons going crazy, but I was unfortunately unable to reproduce it, but disabled it until we can have a proper look at it.

I suspect it fails due to SIP and the "disk access" thing they recently added
