Raw Receive, will 1.7.4 be possible to backport to 10.12?

I've been using ZFS encrypted, and I'd love to try out backing up via send/receive if the raw receive fixes make that possible again. I've stuck with 10.12 on my core server though since Apple reduced the functionality a lot in 10.13 and I'm not ready to move over to something else entirely yet. 1.7.3 was 10.13 only as well though, so I'm wondering if going forward 10.13 and 10.14 will be the focus (I assume that'd ease the testing burden)? That'd change the upgrade calculus a bit, and make it more worth trying to find a graphics card to get one last major upgrade out of the old Mac Pros.

I believe 1.8.0 will go back to 10.8 when we push it out, so yes that should be coming.

Thank you very much (and that's more then I expected, a major part of what finally got me off 10.8 in the first place was O3X being ready to take the place of ZEVO)! I know it's long past time to consider some more serious hardware updates myself but I'm hoping to drag things out just a bit longer to see what Apple does with 2019 MP, even if my expectations are low.
