What are the steps to get to running zfs on macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 internal ssd?
I want to share an encrypted, data-checksummed volume between macOS and Ubuntu
You download from: https://openzfsonosx.org/w/images/e/ea/ ... _1.7.2.dmg
Mount the disk image in Finder
Run the High Sierra installer
When installer finish:
System Preferences… - Security & Privacy – General – there should be text "…blocked from loading…": click its Allow button
- if text not there exit and enter preferences again
Then: with APFS encrypted, how do you partition, Disk Utility or using zpool?
- I want a separate partition that Ubuntu and grub can read
What is the unicode stuffs, the apple NDK or some better more standardized standard?
then it is some like:
zpool create -fn share disk0s4
- -f: force use of vdev
- -n display configuration
zpool set feature@encryption=enabled share
zfs set checksum=sha256 share
zfs create -oencryption=aes-128-ccm -okeysource=passphrase,prompt share
How do I get to writable, mounted disk space?
