OpenZFS on OS X

I'm not using either of those. Didn't have a problem with the previous release. Anything else that could be amiss ?

You sure you're not using screen sharing of any kind? The allow button only works if you're literally sitting in front of the machine.

I'm 100% sure. I'm indeed literally in front of the machine. but maybe this is a macOS issue, and not with the installer then

sudo rm -rf /Library/Extensions/spl.kext
sudo rm -rf /Library/Extensions/zfs.kext

reboot, and then try running the installer again, I suppose.

even after removing the files, the reboot still shows the same error in system settings. I tried to reinstall, but the issue persists.

I don't know if this helps at all...

Furthermore, I can't get 1.7.0 to install anymore either

It could be an issue with 10.13.4. We'll need to see who else runs into it.
