iStat Menus users? dashboard in tray hanging

Postby e8vww » Mon Jan 01, 2018 4:26 pm

Is anyone else using istat menus? Its a great app--reports on network, cpu, memory, disk activity. I noticed that since creating a couple of zpools that the indicators will go non responsive and have to be force quit.

Curious to know what monitoring apps other members are using with openzfs on osx...

I use MenuMeters and have not noticed any issues?

If things go nonresponsive, you could "spindump" and see if it is waiting on something specific.

It turns out its a 10.13 CoreGraphics/CoreText issue. Other apps like photoshop, premiere pro, apple mail are all having random crashes. Its somewhat acknowledged by apple but with no timeline for a fix and its still a problem in the 10.13.3 beta 4. Rolling back to 10.12.6 and stepping off the apple update train...
