Fastest checksum algorithm for new pool

Postby mkush » Mon Nov 27, 2017 7:50 am

I'm starting fresh with a new pool and have read the discussions of the new checksum algorithms available. I'm not going to do dedup. All I'm interested in is obtaining the best performing pool. The machine is a 2010 classic Mac Pro, 12-core 3.46GHz (so plenty of CPU available).

Does anyone have a recommendation for fastest checksum algorithm for my use case... fletcher4 (default), or skein or edonr?

I have started using edonr on my pools almost since edmond (and skein etc) was available. The fastest one of the alternatives.
