1.7.0 released - usable on El Capitan or Sierra?

Postby Sharko » Tue Oct 24, 2017 1:10 pm

I see that the 1.7.0 release just came out today, adding High Sierra support (yay, thank you!). For those of us running behind the curve, is it advisable or desirable to update to 1.7.0 if we are running El Capitan or Sierra? Thanks,

Kurt

... and Mavericks? ;) (my case)
I bet that installer is only for HiSierra and hopefully a disk image will follow with all the other installers as usual... or not?

Thanks Heaps for the new release guys - I'm really stoked about native encryption.

I'm very pleased with the new version!

My boot disk died, so I had to recover my iMac, and the old version didn't work. It was looking bad..

Then I found 1.7.0, and a few minutes later, my RAID was back working happily.

Thank you!

Thank you once again for protecting my data and memories!

Another donation sent your way.

I encourage all macOS ZFS users to express what ZFS means to you (where possible) and support the devs where it helps the most...

Thanks again guys!

Need to update MacUpdate too as it's only got 1.5.2 listed.

Anyone know who owns the posting there?

Fisrt of all: Is there a package of 1.7.0 to 10.11 and earlier? I tried to install these package on download list, and it only for High Sierra.

According to this post https://openzfsonosx.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=2834&start=10#p8364, there is... but I don't know if they're still working on it or simply forgot to put it in the repository... :?:

Ah! I've just bumped into this https://www.patreon.com/posts/status-update-15289578 that clearly says "We are working on doing the release for the other OSX versions as well"! :)
