uninstalling 1.6.1 gives error

When I tried using the uninstall script for version 1.6.1, uninstall-openzfsonosx.sh I get the error message below

"No pools should be imported
/usr/sbin/zpool does not exist.
You will need to export your pool(s) and unload zfs.kext manually before uninstalling."

I verified that all my pools were exported.

The same issue occured when I tried uninstalling 1.5.2 a while ago.
A user on a previous post said it could be because " zfs executables were actually put in "/usr/local/bin", but the uninstall script tries to uninstall in the directory "/usr/sbin/zpool "
viewtopic.php?f=26&t=2992&hilit=uninstall&start=10

I upgraded to high sierra without uninstalling, and then ran the 1.6.2 RC1 installer, and it seemed to upgrade my installation to the newest version.

Just wondering, is uninstalling truly necessary when upgrading versions?
Is there an error in the uninstall script that points to wrong installation directory?

Thanks so much

Uninstalling is generally not needed, so perhaps its fallen behind a bit, since you were seeing errors.
