ZFS & OS X Photos

Postby safetypin » Tue Mar 29, 2016 7:41 am

I have a friend using ZFS on drives, and he is able to open and use Photos without a problem, but when I attempt to open a .photoslibrary file from my ZFS partition, I get an error:

Code: Select all
The library “Photos_Library.photoslibrary” is stored on a drive that uses an unsupported disk format. To access this library, copy it to the internal drive on your Mac or to a drive that uses a supported format.

Is there a feature that I need to enable to make this work?

Thanks!

is the "<dataset>" part of that property the zfs pool name, or is that potentially just a directory?

Nevermind, I talked to someone about what a <dataset> is. Thanks!
