Kernel Panic on 2.1 and 2.1.6 (Mojave)

Postby fissionfan » Wed Feb 01, 2023 6:29 pm

I got a kernel panic when I attempted to destroy an old snapshot.
(monthly snapshots... nothing special.... several in a row no issue- and then one triggers the panic...)

So I get back up and running, and delete the rest... they delete with no problem...
Then I try the problem snapshot again... this time it returns success... and then panics...

This is my backup array.... (in a thunderbolt enclosure- 3x in raidz)
so I swap to another machine and it panics on import using 2.1 and then 2.1.6.
I've attached the panic logs....

Update/conclusion- tried using 2.1 from linux (opensuse) and it hung on import... no disc activity but zpool/zfs commands locked up.
So just recreated the pool and resent the contents to the backup pod. hopefully the logs previous logs are useful

Thanks for all the efforts getting and keeping zfs on osx

You keep having the same panic "zfs: adding existent segment to range tree"
close match appears to be: https://github.com/openzfs/zfs/issues/13963
