OpenZFS 2.2.6 was released, Would be nice to have in on Mac.

I have also noticed that the github hasn't been updated since April 1, 2023. for the MacOS version. and there have been releases since then. Is there a reason that the chances since then are closed source?
I am currently on macOS 15, and 2.2.3-rc5 seems to be working fine on my M1 mac's.
If there is a way to build the https://github.com/openzfs/zfs version on the mac, It would be nice to have some build instructions, or a script that patches, or supplements the things that are needed to make it work
