2.1.6RC3 Feedback

Postby lundman » Fri Oct 28, 2022 7:35 pm

We found an issue with zpool-import-all.sh isn't installed correctly, so at boot, the pools might not be imported.
I'll do a rc4.

Any other issues noticed?

I was just about to report the issue with zpool-import-all.sh. :)

I've not noticed anything major other than that. The only other thing was the unfortunate rogue message when trying to export a busy pool that I mentioned earlier.

Looking good from my end.

If I have a pool imported, and reboot, it seems to sit forever at the reboot screen.

Looking into that before I move on to rc4

Looking at the announcements, it appears that the only download in the recent RC1-RC2-RC3 group for Monterey x64 (Intel) is RC1; since I do use native encryption I would be grateful for an RC4 that is Monterey and Intel compatible. Thanks.

Catalina or Big Sur builds should be fine on Monterey x86 for RC2/RC3 - that is what I was testing with.

Yeah you can generally use an old build on newer systems, so I generally try to do a x86 Catalina, and arm64 Monterey, which can be tested all the way to Ventura.

Should be arm64/BigSur but I have to build a VM for it.
