New Porting Started

Postby tangles » Mon Jun 08, 2020 12:35 am

I can't post in the Announcements section and so wish to comment here…

I've been monitoring the numbers… last time I sussed it was 26 To Do, 15 In Progress, and 4 Done, and now I see a new PR column (4) added…

ORSM stuff Mr Lundman!

And I see you've been busy! 24, 5, 25, 4. !!

I see the To Do is value seems never ending though… ;) and so another donation to thank you for your efforts and please keep at it!

Don't know what the macOS community would do without you Mr Lundy, and every one else to for that matter.

Thank you!

It's starting to "not crash" during zfstesting, so in the not-too-far-future I'll do a .pkg for people to try.
Those that compile, can do so any time. Branch is "sorted2".

We need to start looking for regressions as well, we may have fixed minor osx things, for example, after
zfs rollback, we needed to force Finder to update - this one I saw and copied over, but there might be others.

It's pretty great to see the project that's being done in real time, that's one of the reason why I went for OpenZFS instead of something else; I really like transparency from the devs.

Right now I'm waiting for openzfs v2.0 to land in upstream (just a branch right now) then we start pushing our stuff.

Hope people have time to test run the new port so we can catch problems earlier.
