1.9.4 seems snappier! :-)

Postby nodarkthings » Sun Apr 19, 2020 4:13 am

Is it just an impression? I updated yesterday from 1.9.3 to 1.9.4 on El Capitan and I immediately felt it snappier to open pools and datasets in the Finder!
No more lags when opening a folder. I wonder if:
1) it's just the typical 'expectation bias'
2) something really changed
3) installing a new version just cleaned up some cache... :)

It's possible, I did a few performance things before pushing it out, nothing major though. Could just be that it's new and shiny.

After one month+ I confirm that it was not just an impression. :)
As I frequently switch to my 10.9 partition with 1.9.2 on it, the difference is huge — only mounting pools at boot is a lot longer.
