In order to behave like a good macOS citizen I suggest ZFS should by default behave as the user expects, and the user expects ZFS to behave like other macOS applications, especially Apple’s macOS applications.
So, after creating a pool, it should be right away possible to write to it, like all other newly created volumes (“There’s no step three!”).
So I suggest, when creating a pool, the Administrator group and the active user should be automatically by default be added to the permissions of new pools und new zvols.
