OpenZFS on OS X

Hi,

So I have a QuoComputer board with UEFI and I can install my own EFI drivers.

If I were to install the ZFS EFI driver from http://efi.akeo.ie, clone a working OS X 10.10.1 onto a ZFS pool, what else would would need to be performed before this actually booted?

So the Mac's kernel (that's now located in /System/Library/Kernels with Yosemite) has built in checks to see if it's on a HFS+ partition?

I'm obviously a bit ignorant about the whole boot process...
