There is a test pkg for Big Sur (Intel) for those keen to test it, please think of it as a beta test, there may be issues. (as in, hangs or crashes)

Oh a dang, the installer tries to install "spl.kext" as well, so installer thinks it fails. It should all be installed though, but
if you aren't in a hurry, I'll post a new installer tomorrow.

I have updated the file in the top post. Turns out to be our check for "needs approval".. you can't test for that anymore, Apple went and changed it. So now it just opens the Pref pane and returns OK. The only difference is that this installer doesn't think there is an error.

OK, Hold up - as reported in the other thread, if your CPU has avx512, it will panic on boot.

I need to make a pkg without the assembler speedups.

I have disabled the AVX feature bit for now. As my hardware does not have those capabilities, I'm working a bit blind in this area. Please let me know if the new build runs any better.
