Install Videos

Has anyone captured the install process and set-up on video? I'm new to the Mac command window (I haven't done much from the command window since I used DOS on the 1980's). Hoping to get ZFS up and running soon.

I muddled through and finished the install. It's been a long time since I used a command line!

The wiki here seems a bit sparse. So I've ordered a book on ZFS on BSD. I'll post my impressions once I read a bit.

I've purchased "FreeBSD Mastery:ZFS". So far I find it pretty confusing. I'm a pretty logical person - I was educated as a chemist and I completed the coursework for a Ph.D. in physical chemistry. So is there a better source out there for those of us who are novices and would like to use ZFS? Or should I go away and check back in a few years, in the hope that documentation will catch up with development?

This is about the best guide you're going to find: http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19253-01/819-5461/

There is a lot of information out there in the ecosystem. Good on you for trying to learn it step by step.

There is support available on our IRC channel, that you may find a little more interactive than the forums, but ultimately we are not realistically able to provide training to people.

Cheers

Thank you for the link, Brendon. I'll muddle through, and hopefully I can help others once I understand things better.
