ZFS and Windows via Bootcamp

Postby Dismayed » Sat Oct 17, 2015 8:45 am

I need to set up bootcamp and an earlier version of windows so that I can run a film scanner. So what is the best way to get my scan files onto ZFS? DO I need to save onto an NTFS partition and then copy those once I boot into OSX? Or is there a way fro me to write to ZFS directly from Windows?

Thanks.

Thanks. I may purchase different scanning software instead of setting up boot camp. I've had enough of Windows!

Is it not possible to use the scanner in Windows running in VirtualBox?
Then you could mount any folder as a HD in windows and save straight to where you want it.
Super grateful to the people developing OpenZFS on OS X!
RaidZ2 working well for storing my data, OS X Server share for Time Machine, FCPX, iTunes, Photos, etc. on my Hackinstosh.

It's a firewire scanner, so my understanding is that it won't work running a software virtualized.

I really don't want to deal with Widows, so I've decided to use Vuescan.
